Breezy Babies Lactation Visits – Policies & FAQ (Effective 2025)

At Breezy Babies, we strive to provide transparent, high-quality lactation care. Please review our updated policies and frequently asked questions below:


Service Area and Travel Fees

  • Service Area: We provide lactation consulting services within a 30-minute radius of our IBCLCs.
  • Travel Fees:
    • For locations 31–44 minutes away: $25 travel fee.
    • For locations 45–60 minutes away: $50 travel fee.
    • Cigna Clients: Initial in-home visits will incur a one-time $25 travel fee (does not apply to follow-up visits).

Self-Pay Rates

  • In-Person Visits: $200
  • Telehealth Visits: $125
  • Student Telehealth Consultations: $60
  • Follow-Up Appointments: $25 discount applies.
  • Note: For consultations involving twins, an additional $100 fee applies. 

Insurance Coverage

  • Accepted Insurance:
    • We accept many insurances including most Aetna, United Healthcare, DMBA, BCBS, Cigna, and Tricare plans. Check your coverage here.
    • If approved, no deductibles or copays are required for our clients approved through The Lactation Network only. For non-coverage, self-pay (including HSA payments) is available.
  • Insurance Billing:
    • We can only bill if your primary insurance plan remains active. Lapsed plans require re-verification.

Aetna and United Healthcare Insurance Clients

  • Booking: First, check your eligibility and coverage here. 
  • Payment: Breezy Babies is paid directly; cost-sharing (copays, coinsurance, deductibles) may apply.
    • Denied claims are the client’s responsibility.
    • The insurance we bill must be your primary insurance.
    • Important: If your baby is not added to your insurance plan, additional fees may apply for services rendered.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation: Notify us at least 24 hours in advance for a refund.
  • No-Shows: A $50 fee applies.
  • Rescheduling: Contact us directly to reschedule.

Understanding Your EOB (Explanation of Benefits)

  • EOB Overview: An EOB summarizes services and insurance coverage post-consultation.
  • Patient Responsibility:
    • An EOB is not a bill.
    • Your consultation is covered under your insurance plan if approved.
    • Any additional fees (such as travel, administrative, or late cancellation) are not typically covered by insurance and may be billed separately by our office if applicable.
