FAQ for Lactation Visits
Service Area and Fees:
- Service Area: We provide lactation consulting services within a 30-minute radius of our IBCLCs.
- Travel Fee: For locations 31-44 minutes away, there is a $25 travel fee. For distances of 45-60 minutes, the fee is $50.
Self Pay Rates:
- In-Person Visits: $200
- Telehealth Visits: $155
- Student Telehealth Consults: $40
- Follow-Up Appointments: $25 discount applies.
Insurance Coverage:
- Acceptance: Yes, we accept insurance. Check your coverage here. You'll receive an email confirming coverage—no deductibles or copays if approved. For non-coverage, we accept self-pay, including HSA payments.
- Insurance Billing: We can only bill if your primary plan remains active. Lapses require re-verification.
Aetna Insurance Clients:
- Booking: Book consultations here.
- Forms: Fill out forms promptly for insurance verification and potentially expedite your appointment.
- Payment: Breezy Babies is paid directly; cost-sharing (copays, coinsurance, deductibles) may apply. We can't guarantee exact costs due to plan variability. Denied claims are the client's responsibility. Aetna must be your primary insurance.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation: Notify us at least 24 hours in advance for a refund.
- No Shows: $50 fee applies.
- Rescheduling: Contact us directly if rescheduling is necessary.
Understanding Your EOB (Explanation of Benefits):
- EOB Overview: An EOB summarizes services and insurance coverage post-consultation.
- Patient Responsibility: Not a bill; TLN covers full consultation costs if approved.
- Additional Fees: Travel, administrative, or cancellation fees may apply outside of TLN coverage.
