In-Home Lactation Consultant in Herriman, Utah

Hi, I’m Liz—an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Nurse (RN) based in Herriman, UT. I provide in-home lactation consultations throughout Salt Lake County and Utah County, along with virtual lactation support to families worldwide.

I have been practicing as an IBCLC for the past three years, working both in the hospital setting and in my private practice, Nurture Nest Lactation Care. I also bring eight years of hands-on experience as a registered nurse in labor & delivery and postpartum care. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting countless families through breastfeeding challenges, lactation concerns, and newborn care education.

My passion lies in supporting mothers during one of the most meaningful—and vulnerable—transitions of their lives. There is so much more to this season than breastfeeding alone, which is why I take a holistic, family-centered approach. Every family is unique, and I strive to help you meet your feeding goals in a way that feels realistic, supportive, and aligned with your values.

I also understand firsthand how challenging breastfeeding can be. After welcoming our third baby, we discovered he had a tongue tie. Despite my professional background, we experienced significant latching difficulties and pain, followed by ongoing challenges including colic, gas, aerophagia, supply dips, and poor oral tone. This journey led me to dive deeper into tethered oral tissues and the importance of collaborative, team-based care. With comprehensive support, we were able to nurse successfully for over two years.

To better support families facing similar challenges, I completed advanced coursework in Oral Habilitation of the Breastfeeding Dyad, strengthening my skills in oral restriction assessment and whole-family support. I would be honored to walk alongside you in finding the care, referrals, and support team that feel right for your family.

When I’m not working with families, I love being a mom—coaching our kids’ teams, cheering them on at their activities, gardening, and staying active. You might find me rollerblading through the neighborhood or hiking a local trail.

What I’ll Bring to Your Lactation Journey:
