In-Home Lactation Consultant in Salt Lake City, Utah

Hi, I’m Julie—an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) based in Salt Lake City, UT. I provide in-home lactation support to families across Salt Lake County and offer virtual consultations throughout Utah and beyond.

My passion for lactation work was born from personal experience. After the birth of my first son, I navigated postpartum mood disorders that led me to wean earlier than planned—an emotional decision that ultimately helped preserve my mental health. That experience sparked a deep commitment to supporting others. I became passionate about the intersection of maternal mental health and infant feeding and began my journey toward becoming a lactation consultant in 2020. I breastfed my second son for two years, with the support of a strong care team.

In 2024, I completed a 500-hour Pathway 3 internship through Lactation Education Resources at the University of Utah, working with families in the Maternal Newborn Care Unit, NICU, and outpatient settings. I bring that clinical experience—and heartfelt empathy—to every family I serve.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’m committed to creating a judgment-free, inclusive space for every family. Whether you’re chestfeeding, pumping, supplementing, or inducing lactation, I’ll support you with compassion and up-to-date, evidence-based care.

When I’m not working with families, I’m a collaborative pianist and educator at Westminster University. I also love hiking Utah’s trails with my two boys and husband.
